Simulation Ride #1: How to Lock Your Bike
July 10 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join Newmarket Cycles for our inaugural AT (Active Transportation) Simulation Ride on July 10th at 11:00 am! These rides focus on reaching places of interest by bike, rather than riding purely for leisure.
Newmarket Cycles wants to provide a fun and supportive environment for anyone to gain the skills and confidence to harness biking as an everyday form of transportation so that you can feel comfortable running errands by bike.
All rides move at a leisurely, family-friendly pace and are open to all ages and abilities. Rides are typically 10-15 km long and explore trails, quiet residential streets, and local cycling infrastructure to reach our destinations. Once we arrive, we can practice locking our bikes, visit establishments or places of interest, then cycle back with any purchased goods.
All AT Simulation Rides are free and begin and end at our Newmarket Cycles community bike hub, located at NewMakeIt (621 Timothy Street, Newmarket, ON L3Y 1R3). Meet us on July 10th at our Newmarket Cycles community bike hub for a fun ride around Town. No registration required.
